This week marks the end of Pride Month, where we celebrate the colorful diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, the thousands who have marched to win and protect their rights, and the trans, gay, lesbian and bisexual BIPOC activists who were indispensable to the movement.

While we as a society have made many strides in the right direction, we remember that there is still plenty of work to be done in addressing the inequality, hate and discrimination still faced by the LGBTQ+ community. This month, Advent celebrated Pride through a donation to The Trevor Project in support of their work to end suicide among LGBTQ+ youth by providing crisis support, safe spaces, research, public education and advocacy. As a staffing agency with a responsibility to provide equal opportunities to all, it is our hope that this donation will continue this mission beyond the workplace by uplifting youth and empowering them to succeed.

Beyond June, we see this month as the start to our all-year, long-term commitment as an agency to share our resources and, as is reflected in our equity statement, to promote policies, practices, and a workplace culture that honor the inherent worth of all people.
