Advent Talent Group Wins Care Award (Again!) for Best Social Responsibility Program in U.S. Staffing and Recruiting

Advent Talent Group is proof that a small company can make a big difference! We are so pleased to announce that our team has been honored again this year with a 2019 American Staffing Association Care Award. This national awards program recognizes outstanding social responsibility initiatives—business processes that produce an overall positive effect on society—among ASA member staffing agencies across the country.

This is Advent Talent Group’s second year to receive the honor; we were also selected in 2018 for our “Girls Today, Leaders Tomorrow initiative.

Advent Talent Group Owner, Mary Younggren, said “We’re honored and pleased to be selected for the ASA Care Award, two years in a row! Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees. I’m thankful for our small but mighty team of staffing “superheroes” who are so dedicated to serving our community. We’re proud to support organizations, like Avivo of Minneapolis, who are breaking down the barriers to success that many people face.”

Advent Talent Group was honored this year for our “Breaking Barriers Initiative, part of our corporate giving program called the Advent Cares Program. The Breaking Barriers initiative was created to support individuals in the Minneapolis community with significant barriers to wellness, stability, and financial independence. Advent Talent Group partnered with Avivo of Minneapolis, a Minnesota organization that has helped people achieve recovery, employment, and economic advancement since 1960.

Through our Breaking Barriers initiative, we contributed 94 hours of staff volunteer time, $16,572.41 of direct and in-kind donations, and we provided direct assistance to 68 participants through workshops, job search kits, and mock interview sessions. The ATG team also assisted with the renovation of three apartment units that will be available to three families by the end of this year.

ASA Care Award honorees will be celebrated at Staffing World® 2019—the largest, most comprehensive learning and networking event in the staffing and recruiting industry—Oct. 15‒17 in Las Vegas.

“ASA congratulates the 2019 ASA Care Award honorees for their outstanding social responsibility programs and for being wonderful examples of corporate citizenship in the staffing industry,” said Richard Wahlquist, ASA president and chief executive officer. “These winning programs show how the staffing industry is making a difference in the lives of people and in society, both in the U.S. and around the globe.”
