The American Staffing Association honored Advent Group with a national Care Award for outstanding social responsibility initiatives among ASA member staffing agencies and associates across the country. The ASA Care Award winners will be celebrated at Staffing World® 2018 on Oct. 16‒18 in metro Washington, DC.
The Advent Group was honored for our Girls Today, Leaders Tomorrow program, a company-wide initiative focused on helping girls succeed as future leaders. Advent Group chose to support Girl Scouts River Valleys through this initiative and surpassed internal goals for both financial contributions and staff volunteer hours. Our team volunteered for activities with an immediate impact on the lives of local girls and also invested in programs to prepare girls for future leadership.
“We are delighted to receive this honor from the American Staffing Association,” said Advent Group Owner and President, Mary Younggren. “It is one of our goals at Advent to improve the lives of women and children in our community and our Girls Today, Leaders Tomorrow program aligns squarely with that goal. We are inspired every day by the people we serve and humbled by our role in their life stories.”
The ASA Care Awards honor social responsibility initiatives that involve employee training and professional development, community engagement, “green” business practices, philanthropy, and more. A panel of social responsibility experts selects the honorees.
