As the Director of Finance and Administration, Sue tackles all of Advent’s back-office operations including payroll, accounting, employee administration and vendor management. A master of operations, she is a caring and tenacious professional who enjoys the varying priorities of her role and helping employees with administrative tasks.
When Sue isn’t working, she can often be seen traveling, scouring vintage shops for various home projects and renovations, or spending time with her three grandchildren.
As Director of Operations for Advent with over 25 years of staffing and recruiting experience, Michelle ensures the delivery of excellent service to our clients, employees and job-seekers. Her track record and a trail of glowing testimonials have garnered her a loyal following due to her sincerity and dedication to helping candidates achieve their full potential.
An active volunteer, Michelle donates her time and resources to various organizations, including Vision Loss Recourse, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Avivo, where she serves on the Business Partnership Council. When not at work, she can usually be found creating various culinary delights in her kitchen or hitting the local bike trails with her family.
Mary Younggren is the owner and principal of Advent Talent Group, an independent, award-winning staffing & recruiting company with three divisions – Advent Office, Advent Creative and Advent HR. Whether climbing the highest cliff in Norway, or traveling to Haiti to provide aid, Mary isn’t one to shy away from a challenge. As a small business owner, Mary oversees all facets of the business and is delighted to serve as 2022 President-Elect for NAWBO-MN! In addition to her 30-year career in staffing and recruiting, Mary is a life-long learner and widely recognized as an expert in her field. She regularly consults with hiring and organizational leaders about navigating the labor shortage crisis and the future of work.

Mary is a recipient of the City of Edina’s Volunteer of the Year Awards, Edina Rotary’s Service Above Self and Volunteer of the Year awards, NAWBO’s Achieve! Established Business Owner Award, Rotarian of the Year Award, Minnesota Monthly and Crave Restaurant’s The Heart of the Event award, and numerous ASA awards.
Mary has served on numerous philanthropic boards for organizations like Girl Scouts, Edina Rotary, and the MN Staffing & Recruiting Association. Passionate about helping women business owners rise up, Mary is currently serving her fourth year of service on the NAWBO-MN Board of Directors and as NAWBO president elect for 2022.
