Advent Talent Selected as 2019 Honored Company by Minnesota Keystone Program

Advent Talent Group has been selected as a 2019 Minnesota Keystone Program honored company by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber! Advent Talent Group, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, and Liberty Diversified International were selected for recognition “based on their generous contributions to their communities and outstanding giving programs.”

This year’s recipients were chosen from nearly 200 companies currently enrolled in the program. Recipients will be honored at the 43rd annual Minnesota Keystone Celebration on Friday, December 13 and “recognized as models in corporate giving”.

Each year, Advent partners with a variety of organizations through their “Advent Cares” giving program to improve the social, economic, and educational conditions of women and children in the Twin Cities. As part of the Advent Cares program, Advent selects an annual “cornerstone project,” where they partner with one organization – providing direct and in-kind contributions, as well as staff volunteer hours. This past year, Advent chose to partner with Avivo for their Breaking Barriers initiative because of Avivo’s family-centered, holistic approach and robust services and programs.

Advent far surpassed their initial goals, contributing 94 hours of volunteer time along with substantial direct and in-kind donations. They also provided direct assistance to at least 68 participants through workshops, job search kits, and mock interview sessions. Furthermore, Advent assisted with the renovation of three apartment units that families participating in Avivo’s addiction recovery program will be able to call home by the end of the year.

The Minneapolis Regional Chamber has proudly administered the Minnesota Keystone Program since its inception as the ‘5% Club’ in 1976,” said chamber President and CEO, Jonathan Weinhagen. “This program and annual event celebrate businesses large and small that generously give their time, expertise, and money to strengthen our communities. Their giving programs are inspiring and demonstrate the ways in which companies of all sizes can make an impact in their communities.”

The Minnesota Keystone program encourages any Minnesota-based company that gives at least two to five percent of their pre-tax earnings back to the community to join. Organizations can give back through volunteer time, in-kind or monetary donations.

Sara Gavin, president, North America of Weber Shandwick served as the 2019 Minnesota Keystone Celebration keynote speaker. The 43rd Annual Minnesota Keystone Celebration will be held on Friday, December 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis located at 1300 Nicollet Mall.
